To have your site listed in a Search Engine, you can wait for an engine to find you, or take matters into your hands. Each of the links listed below will take you to a web site where you can submit your web site to a Search Engine. It may take several weeks or months before your page is indexed.

They charge you for each URL you submit. A URL submission will update Ask.com, Teoma.com, Metacrawler, Excite, iLor, MySearch.com, MyWay.com, Ixquick, Mamma.com, Hotbot.com and Search123.com. After 12 months, you'll have to pay again.

Dogpile will charge you to submit a URL to their web site. Submissions will include Verizon, Webcrawler, NBC and Metacrawler.

This site is a bit mis-leading. The link is titled "add url", but it leads you to an add reation page. This, of course, costs money. There does not apear to be a way to submit a URL just for indexing.

They'll try to get you to pay, but if look toward the bottom you'll find a link for "Free Site Submission". They'll make you register, but after giving them a lot of personal information (Why did they want my date of birth and address? Maybe they'll send a gift!) you'll finally be able to submit URLs.
